Fundraising for Deaf Children North West

Another fun way of getting involved with Deaf Children North West is fundraising – you get a chance to do something brave for Deaf Children North West!

Our past events include activities such as fire walking, white water rafting, organised walks round the countryside in Lancashire and sponsored silences by deaf children. People have also been involved in fundraising by making handmade crafts to be sold at events.

There are many ways how you can raise funds for Deaf Children North West – if you would like to know about our upcoming fundraising events or have an idea of your own, contact info@deafchildrennw.org.uk and tell us!

Top 5 fundraising tips

Here is a list to help you reach your fundraising goal.

1. Get sponsors

There is a sponsor form in this pack. You can use the form to keep a record of who has sponsored you.

2. Ask your family

Start by asking your family to sponsor you, you will find they are most likely to sponsor you and they can be very generous too! Family and close friends are a great place to start.

3. Don’t be shy

Ask your family / friends to help you find more sponsors. They can take your sponsor form to work, send out an email or message on a social network site on your behalf to help you get more sponsors.

4. Fundraise with your friends

Taking part in a fundraising activity with friends is fun for everyone. Friends can also be great for encouraging you to raise more funds by competing to raise the most money.

5. Remember to say thank you!

After your firewalk event, make sure you thank everyone who was involved and let them know the total amount of money you raised. They are sure to appreciate this and might even offer to help at your next fundraiser!
